When writing your stats here...?

Specifically, when you write your GPA on this thread (and on all of CC for that matter), do you include you fluff electives?

Your gpa of all classes will be included on your final application, so an accurate chance would require it. Eliminating “fluff” electives would only make chances less accurate.

Be careful about fluff electives, though. College admissions like to see challenging classes instead of fluff classes, so try not to emphasize them.

I have another question about GPA…my school calculates GPA based on 10th and 11th grade academic classes only, and puts the UW and W version of that on our transcripts as the official GPA. Will admissions officers even look at that, or will they just completely dismiss it?

I’ve been pretty nervous about my GPA, as I had a horrible freshman year, but my guidance counselor is very convinced that colleges won’t see the freshman year from students at our school…but that’s wrong, right? :/

If the grades from freshman year are on your transcript and the school looks at freshman year (most do) then yes they will include your freshman grades. Most schools recalculate your GPA anyway…
