Rising sophomore here and I have 2.3 GPA for my freshmen year.
1.7 the first semester, 2.8 the second.
So,
Do I have a future?

Where? At Michigan?

Yup
You have three years to bring up your GPA.

^^ Naw, wisconsin. I like Michigan better.

Why do you go to Wisconsin then?

You still have several years to get it up. Chill and work harder next year.

yeah you have time to bring that up. Work harder.

gpa isnt the only thing colleges look at, but you can easily bring up a 2.3 over the next three years. admissions usually focus on junior and senior year grades and if you study hard during your sophomore year you’ll be fine.

^I think the dude’s in college already, unless you meant grad school.

You can still turn that around. As has been stated, it’s best to have an upward trend in your GPA

You have more than enough time and you probably have time to even retake a few classes you didn’t do so well in the first time around.
