Beachmom - your story about the BF sent shivers down my spine. I can’t get over these guys. They amaze me. The BF is so lucky to be alive!!!

M of BTT-You are so right. Not a day goes by that we don’t thank God for sparing that young man. The impact he has had on my daughter is amazing. I swear he is an angel sent from Heaven. And to think that there are thousands more just like him.

Thanks for sharing. I can’t even guess how much I’m going to miss Navy_Hornet if (when) she gets in next year. She was gone at the beginning of summer for 5 weeks and I kept having the feeling I was forgetting something. She’s gone again for a week as staff at a CAP leadership school.

My wife asked me recently what I was going to do after she gets her appointment, since helping her along the way has turned into my hobby. My answer? Get her younger brother (4 years younger) up to speed and into an Academy!

I’m sure I’ll be a wreck next year, but I know I can come here and talk to all of you.

my mom just told me that she had one of those “moments” when she was groceries shopping and realizing that she didn’t need to buy food for me. I’m here for 3 more days and then our family goes camping for 9 days, comes home for a day, then I go to school…yeeeyy!!!

Taff, give her some extra hugs during the days of the camping trip. No regrets buddy. You’ve got to promise to get on here & describe life in IL. Especially this winter! Its gonna be rearry rearry cold. LOL Can’t believe its time for you to go. Sigh. Who’s going to draw me stick people now… You’ll be too busy with school & ROTC…
