Where and will I get in as a transfer

Im wondering about my chances to get into SDSU Business school.
Im planning on transferring for the spring 2022 and will be a junior.
My gpa will be around 3.6.
Also, Is it possible to get into any top tier colleges with this Gpa. I will have over 60 credits and all my lower division classes finished.

European Male. Attending a decent private liberal arts college right now.

By European male, do you mean descent, or you’re literally studying in Europe and trying to international transfer?

I’m gonna assume you’re just talking about your descent. Yes, 3.6 is competitive as an upper-div transfer into SDSU business. If you want to do online, it’s also even easier I believe. SDSU business admin has an online degree completion program with rolling admissions that I got accepted into as a community college transfer.

Your GPA is fairly competitive overall but problem is that there’s a higher priority for CCC transfers than those from other 4-year institutions. UCLA and Cal would be far reaches, but your 3.6 might be enough for Cal Poly SLO OCOB. Be warned though, there is quite a lot of what is looking to be denials for business majors in the transfer thread for this year. I got in, but there were people with pretty close stats to me(some better) that didn’t and are looking at likely rejections.

SDSU is a really tough transfer admit for non-local applicants. With a 3.6 and the right classes you should be competitive - but, I’d say its a coin toss.

Apply broadly - and good luck.

Do you think I could I get into UNC Chapel Hill. Im trying to get into the best school possible and preferably an affordable school. Do you have any tips on other great colleges?

and thank you for answering me!!!

What budget is affordable? Are you a CA resident? SDSU does not offer financial aid for OOS/International applicants so you would be full pay at around $42K/year.

UNC Chapel Hill has a pretty low transfer acceptance rate. It’s down at like 15% so it’s going to be difficult. If any school has a transfer acceptance rate lower than like 40%, you definitely should not just assume you can get into it.

Where are you from? Affordability depends on your state and you haven’t quite said your state of residence.

As for business, you need to be really selective. Business degrees are a dime a dozen so it’s incredibly important that you get your business degree from the best b-school that you can find. Easily enough, the top colleges have the top b-schools typically.

Since you asked about SDSU originally, if I assume you’re a CA student, the best public undergrad business programs in CA are Cal, UCLA, UCI, and Cal Poly SLO.
