I’m going to go out on a limb here, julians…you’re from Virginia?

These are ed/ea and likely numbers:

1.Dartmouth/Yale (me)
2. MIT deferred
the rest I don’t know exact numbers but they were in the top 10 or so
3. MIT: accepted
4. Brown: accepted
5. Wharton: deferred
6. Swarthmore: rejected
7. Dartmouth: deferred (I think)
Penn: 4 accepted (dont know rank)

Yup. My school is pretty good, too. I bet several of the people ahead of me could have gone Ivy - our val got the Jefferson and like 4 people got Echols @ UVA… UVA is just the popular school around here, most people applied there early…

MIT

Harvard?

UGA

sonicyouth, how did you like Sonic Nurse?

I thought it was awesome!

Sonic Nurse is my favorite Sonic Youth CD. I love every single song on the album ;^)

Northwestern, Penn College, Wharton + Florida state schools. There might be some Harvards, Yales, Columbias, Browns, UVAs, USCs after April 1.

Waiting on MIT

UCLA

UCLA

So my school sucks - and bear in mind our rank is unweighted. <grr>
I know that 3 of the top 4 are attending Montana State, and 1 is attending Gonzaga. Actually, I only know maybe 5 others who applied to competitive schools…</grr>

haha, mine is bad too, don’t worry

Me (Dartmouth, maybe Harvard or ND or Case Western)

Penn State? (rejected ED from ND, applied to Northwestern)

Ohio State

Bowling Green

Kettering U (Flint MI)

My school is a very average public school; the number of students who have gone on to Ivies could probably be counted on my fingers.

West Coasters, I see a lot of USC on your lists. How respected is it out there? I LOVED it but nobody out east acknowledges it, so I worry about coming back here(east)with a USC degree. Kind of like you going back with a BC degree, huh??(Boston College)(regionally respected)

Harvard-EA

no clue where she applied

Stanford/Brown/Duke pending on acceptance

me Dartmouth or Brown

Rice i think

Georgetown

then various of UC’s

Actually, that’s probably a good comparason. BC to USC. I mean, I don’t think that people think its the most intellectual, for those we think of Cal and Stanford. Actually, its really respected out here, I’d say more so than UCLA (but i’m a Trojan fan, so I’m baised). Oh, and Cal Tech, but we all sorta just think they’re a bunch of crazy antisocial brianiacs. Its def more regionally respected than Pomona or Pitzer and those other ones lol.

To the average person, USC probably falls just under the Ivies in their eyes.

Well, my school’s ranking system still hasn’t been resolved, but I do know that I’m co-valedictorian. At the moment, I think we have four salutatorians, although that will change.

(me) Yale (accepted EA, although I’m still waiting on Princeton and Harvard RD)

(tie) Case Western (he could’ve gotten into MIT or Cornell if he had exerted himself more outside of the classroom, but he ended up not applying. Oh well, at least he got a hefty scholarship…)

Ohio State

(tie) Ohio State

(tie) Capital University

(tie) Cedarville University

Out of my graduating class, nearly half of those going to college (which isn’t that many) are going to Ohio State in some capacity - although many of them weren’t accepted to the main campus and are going to Ohio State-Newark. Other popular options are Ohio Dominican, Columbus State Community College, other state schools, and some school called Bellermine (sp?) that I hadn’t ever heard of (and that isn’t even listed in US News).

South Carolina (full ride)

Duke

Dartmouth? (me)

probably WashU

Carnegie Mellon/Northwestern/WashU musical theater

don’t know

a genius who can’t get in anywhere b/c he’s technically international and needs aid, we’ll see

Ha my school’s grading system only puts end of year grades on transcripts (not quarter/semester grades) and only puts letter grades on transcripts (no pluses/minuses, no decimal grade). So massive ties are almost guaranteed.
