my school doesnt rank, though i’m probably somewhere between 25-30 (my school is cut-throat in its competitiveness) out of 370 and so far (early, likelies, and schools that have informed already), we have 2 yale, 3 penn, 3 dartmouth (me!), 3 cornell, 1 mit, 2 brown, 4 columbia, 1 chicago, 3 duke, and 1 amherst. not all of those people rank above me though (i think schools tend to dig a little deeper, just cause we are so competetive). the rest, I don’t know.

1-dono rejected from stanford
2-dono deferred from yale
3-stanford
4-dono rejected from MIT, maybe dartmouth/stanford/ucla/uchi if he gets in
5-dartmouth

My school and my class particularly was nuts! Luckily it was private so no ranks were disclosed even though we all knew what they were. Otherwise kids who were 25/100 would be in trouble!

Actually its a trick private schools use to get more than 10% of their classes into the Ivies.

yeah my school doesnt have a rank, just a sketchy bar graph thing…
my rank would def not be good…thanks to about 10+ people in my grade alone with a perfect 5.0 (out of like 300ish)

***we do a 5.0 scale…and by the way, does anyone know how to convert a 5.0-scale GPA to 4.0???

We don’t rank at my school, but the top kids are going to the usuals: Harvard, Stanford, MIT, Princeton, Yale, Cornell, Penn. etc etc…

One girls got a Dartmouth likely, but she only applied because it was an Ivy. I ws talking to her, and she was like “And the thing is, I’d never go there, but my parents wanted me to apply.” She always complains about how her parents are overly-Asian (they designed her college list, and it comprised of Ivies, MIT, and UCLA and Berkeley).

So far, no one from my school is going to Brown or Dartmouth definitely. I’ll see if I can help that. :p

FSU (he has a ton of potential but he’s from FL originally and wanted to return…he’s more concerned with grad school i guess)

Deferred early from MIT with a 800 Math SAT I, but did the Ivy thing and is still waiting for MIT

(Me) at this point it seems like I’ll never receive an acceptance… I have heard nothing except from safeties

wow, well. i’m first but the other kids by me are not going to such nice schools. and stanford never accepts anyone from the valley, i mean they rejected outright a 1600 Valedictorian who was amazing on the bassoon (like 3rd in state or something), but they accept some random girl this year cause she’s the first in her family to go to college…hmmm…

dartmouth (possibly yale if something happens) me

deferred from Gtown EA (probably UCSB)

CSUS-Cal State Stanislaus Woo Hoo. yay for not leaving town…

Westmont

USC (waiting on Stanford, but he and I both boo stanford)

UC Merced (gag me cause its not even a real school yet, but he got a full ride)

Westmont or Pepperdine

Hopefully she’ll get into Yale or Amhearst. If not, it’ll be Cornell.

Modesto Junior College (cheapest way if you wanna get a vet degree from UC Davis, one of the best vet schools in the country)
10.His dad’s giving him a job to start out making $45K helping him in the lab…jerk
