<p>I present valid options to students who often incorrectly assume UF has a monopoly on quality and have such erroneous assumptions reinforced by others who are mere fans and wannabees. I don’t think you’ll see me suggest a student go to FSU for engineering if UF is available to them…unless they want to attend Florida State. Likewise, I shan’t advise a political science major, for example, looking for the best program to pass up FSU simply because UF has Tim Tebow on the football team.</p>
<p>I may suggest they try for MIT since their beaver mascot has a costume that smells good, however. :D</p>
