I’ve heard that Brandeis students can take courses at Tufts, BC, BU, Babson, Wellesley and Bentley. What about Harvard or MIT? Is there any advantage of being so close to MIT and Harvard (e.g.g. seminars/lectures). I didnt really find anything bout in on the website…

you cannot cross-register at Harvard or MIT. you may cross-register at all the schools you mentioned plus the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering

Well you can go to some lectures and guest speakers at those schools. There are flyers around campus pretty frequently advertising events you can go to. Also, sometimes Boston area schools do joint social/club events. Off the top of my head I recall a Hillel event at Harvard’s hillel, and a Brandeis/Harvard co-sponsored conference to stand up against genocide in Darfur. I’d say that there is a big advantage in being so close not just MIT and Harvard, but to many colleges. There are art exhibits, museums, interesting lectures, and concerts at other schools in addition to those offered at Brandeis. Plus because there are so many unversities in the area, Boston is very student friendly in terms of numerous student discounts as well as the availabilty of internships.

If you really want to take classes at Harvard, they have a program which lets junior or seniors from other schools spend one or two semesters are Harvard. You could find more info on their website.

Sebma, you may not take courses at Fletcher. You many only take courses at Tufts’ undergraduate schools of arts and sciences. (The same is true of all other schools with cross-registration privileges)
