I’m a senior right now, looking at possible college options.
I’m fairly sure I want to major in engineering, probably civil.

I’m from California, but considering both in and out of states

SAT IIs: Math II (800), Lit (720), US history (750), Chem (700 - retaking next week)

GPA: 3.91/4.00 unweighted; 4.21/5.00 weighted

AP US History - 4
AP Computer Science - 5
AP English language - 5

Current schedule:
AP Chem

ECs:
school soccer team for 3 years, captain for 2 years (but not varsity)
school varisity lacrosse team for 3 years including this year
volunteer work at the public library and animal shelter, but only a year each
board member of a chairty club
volunteer work at my church with children for 6 years now
(no very strong academic ECs, unfortunately… )

I’m a national merit semifinalist
I go to a very competitive public high school (57 / 2600 NM semifinalists this year), they don’t tell us rankings but I’m guessing I’m in the top 10%

Currently I’m thinking of applying to UC Berekely, UCLA, Cornell, Columbia, and Stanford (as a reach)

What are my chances of getting in? And what other schools should I consider with my stats?

Also, I know that engineering schools have a male majority, does being a girl help my chances of getting in?

Thanks all :)
