Where can I find my old CSS profile?

Is there a place on the Collegeboard website where I can see my CSS profile from previous years? If not do you think my school might have a copy that I can see?

I think it’s like FAFSA -it gets deleted the following academic year. The login button(s) available at the CSS website tell you which profile years you can access:

https://student.collegeboard.org/css-financial-aid-profile

Right now, only 2016-2017 is available. In a few months, that one + 17-18 will be shown, and 16-17 will be deleted some time after that.

Only option is to ask the school.

How old? And why?

My mom can’t find some of the paperwork that we need to fill out the css. Like the amount in her retirement account. She has not added any money to that in a couple years so it should be the same as before.

I mean she does know roughly how much she has in her retirement, but I’m not sure how accurate we have to be. Like down to the last dollar? So if its 50000 for example, do we put that or do we need to put 50802 or whatever. Cuz thats the part she doesn’t know. And I want to do the css asap. Its already late. And she’s pretty disorganized so idk when she’ll actually find all the papers (if she ever finds them at all).

And thanks Lilliana. I did try looking on college board, but you’re right that they delete them every year. So I’m not able to see previous one unfortunately :frowning:

Your mom should be able to access all of her retirement account information online…or by contacting the company that holds the money.

No, it very likely will not be the same as before.

Yes, it needs to be accurate down to the last dollar as of the day that the form is completed. Really, it should not be hard at all to get daily values for a retirement account.

When do,you need to complete the CSS Profile? If it’s for college in 2017, your mom should be receiving a statement about her accounts, with the necessary information to access balances online.

Not helpful for OP’s current situation but I suggest saving a PDF of every FAFSA, CSS, apps and supps etc. Useful as financial records, reference for scholarship essays in the future, etc.

When is the FAFSA deleted? When we did the 2016/17 FAFSA this spring, the 2015/16 FAFSA was still there, and you could use the FAFSA “renewal” feature to have some information prefilled. But asset values need to be up to date for the date FAFSA is filed.

I call the bank for my balance and H’s balance I look up online. But both send statements, either by mail or online.
