Many merit scholarships are for dorm,fee, tuition, book voucher with some extra fancy stuff like laptops, and his another thread implies that he isn’t a good candidate for the Ivy league and need based aid…
@kahtras I think you might want to take a gap year(if you can). Not only many schools you might consider for scholarships are past the due dates, the fact that you can only pay 2~2.5k per year is very, very critical. That’s not even enough for travel expense and insurance. You might be able to save some money by working or tutoring. </p>
