Where can I get in with a 3.39?

3.67 before Fall, GPA is 3.39 after January update.

UCLA - History
UCB - History
UCD - English
UCSC - Politics
UCSB - Global Studies

All prereqs completed for everything.

Will be completing my transferable math this Spring.

Thanks.

Your location says “Bay Area,” so I assume you live in California. I will also assume you attend a CCC. Did you TAG to any of the UC’s that accept it?

UCLA and UCB out of the way.

Yes, I’m a CA community college student, and I have a TAG with UCD, but it’ll most likely get rescinded because I didn’t follow the TAG contract and withdrew from a class.

■■■■■■■ u would apply as an english major with a 3.9 at davis! =( i have a 3.28 and thats the major i applied to all the schools!

EDIT: I am terrribly sorry i didnt mean to offend you! i thought you had a 3.9 and i see its a 3.39… ^^ yay now i have a chance too at davis!

Haha, it’s all good.

As long as I get into one of those schools I’ll be happy.

Your in for Santa Cruz, they admitted me to Politics with a 2.94 , Davis is kinda strange . Not only do they offer appeals, but you have to write a essay on why you should get in with your appeal .

any more opinions

UCLA and UCB is a long shot. I don’t remember history being impacted at UCLA. You should check this out Look for your major http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/adm_tr/Tr_Prof11.htm</a></p>

Btw, I’m pretty sure if you applied to UCSD, you’d get in.
Good luck!

Im basically in the same boat as you. I have a 3.37. Only it’s on an upward trend. I would say that Davis is up in the air but totally possible.

I applied for politics at Santa Cruz and i gotta say I’m a little disappointed when looking at the course offerings. They are offering only 7 (!) politics courses this winter. I looked at SFSU’s offerings and they are offering at least two dozen poli sci classes. And the classes at SF look more interesting, imo, versus Santa Cruz. SF has a “The Supreme Court’s influence on public policy” while Santa Cruz always offers ‘Marxism as a Method’. I’m sure a class on Marx is interesting and all but maybe not AS relevant than a course they COULD offer.

@anythingoes: Did you apply anywhere else? What schools did you apply to this year?

A 3.37 is a reasonable GPA especially for a non impacted major. Idk I feel like 3.3’s have a better chance than 3.2s this year.

@acoustic I TAGed to Santa Cruz (I pretty much plan on attending) but just for fun I also sent apps to UCLA and UCB. I am a pretty good writer so my PS should help and have a lot of extra curricular time being in theater.

Also, I applied to SFSU and CSUEB and have been accepted to both, conditionally of course

Nice! I heard Santa Cruz is a pretty good school. Good you tagged!
