Where can I go with a profile like this?

As it stands now, I am a sophomore, and I haven’t gotten anything below an A during my first two years of high school. Next year I will be taking 2 AP classes, as well as an independent study for the AP Psychology examination. My senior year, I will likely be taking 4 AP classes and possible another AP independent study. School comes pretty easy to me, and I know that if I choose to study and stay focused I can maintain a 4.0 (unweighted). I also played football my freshman year, as well as this year. I plan on continuing that for my final two years. I also am planning on volunteering quite a bit this summer. I will be in National Honor Society next year. Most likely Key Club as well. This year I scored in the 93 percentile (that’s putting me with juniors) on my PSAT. But as a sophomore, that means nothing.

At this point, is the sky the limit for college choices? Or is my profile too weak for some Ivies, prestigious colleges, etc.?

The thing about a profile like this is… it has potential, but you just haven’t really fulfilled it yet. Good SATs and a high rank (if your school ranks) and being well rounded (as you appear to be) will give you a decent shot at some really great schools.

For the nation’s top schools, you appear to fall a bit short, but that could change. You’re a great student but the top schools want a little more. If you can tack on some nice awards, am internship, leadership positions, work experience, or anything like that, you’ll be putting yourself in a much better place.

Not sure what 93% equates to on the PSAT. What was the raw score?
