Where did my AP Bio credit go?

I checked Testudo’s unofficial credit transfer for APs and every AP I’ve ever taken is listed; however, biology is not. The only reason I could think of is because I took biology freshman year, so it might have been too long ago to show up?

Should I call about this now or just wait until Orientation?

It’s something you’ll need to talk to someone about, and possibly have collegeboard resend the score to UMD. I assume you don’t have the May AP results back yet? You could wait until those are posted. It will be an issue at orientation only if you need it as a prerequisite for a followup bio class that you intend to take in the fall.

You may have forgotten to send the score at all? Double check that first.

Problem is - I don’t remember sending ANY of my scores to UMD.

While I don’t have my May AP scores yet from this year, I do have one from last year that does have my bio score on it.

Well unless you sent them to UMD during the test (using that booklet), send them now to UMD via the internet. However you may be able to just bring scores into orientation and get credit by showing it to someone (like someone in the transcript office or an advisor). You may want to call the tranfer credit department and see if you can do that; it seems easier.

Knowing how umd works however, once you get your may results, go online or call collegeboard to have all of your AP test scores sent to umd at one time. It will cost money to do so, but I believe that the only way it will go on your transcript is to come directly from collegeboard to umd. Your advisor at registration can probably help you get into the correct course by using your printed results…if you are planning to take a fall class that requires one of the ap courses aqs a prerequisite.

Had you requested the scores to go to umd at the time you took the exams in may, it wouldn’t have cost addition money, besides the exhorbitant fee to take the exam.
Sent from my Droid using CC App

I haven’t sent my scores yet, but where exactly do they show up and how do you view them?

@cyborg, go to Testudo/office of the Registrar, which will get you here:

[University of Maryland | Testudo | Records And Registration | Unofficial Transcript](http://www.testudo.umd.edu/apps/uotrans/)

login and the AP scores and the credit you received will be at the top.

testudo.umd.edu
Office of the Registrar (on left column)
select: unofficial transcripts

When you find out that AP scores are available via phone, you can check here—probably you will see your May AP scores before they are mailed to you, and without paying the $$ to call collegeboard.

Thank you. I’ll check Testudo in early July.

I got a 5 on AP biology exam but just found out today that since I am a mechanical engineering major it does not count for anything. My physics and math classes will count toward my LL core requirement so I dont need any biology classes. Bummer to lose 8 college credits because of my major but what can you do.

@33, does your 4 year plan allow for any free electives?

No…that is why I cant use them for anything…

I get why but without those credits it drops be back down to freshman status which will affect my registration status…
