Where did you/your child attend?

<p>Hi all!</p>

<p>So I thought it might be nice just to compile a list of the schools that regular users here on CC attended or had a child attend. That way, if people have a specific or general question about a school, they can “Personal Message” the people who had a child attend that school or who attended the school themselves. We’ll see if this catches on but the more people who post, the better.</p>

<p>Use my first post as a template:</p>

<p>My D is currently a freshman at Juilliard studying VP.</p>

<p>Undergrad: I attended Eastman for a BM in cello performance (Class of 2001)</p>

<p>Grad: I attended CIM for my MM in cello</p>

<p>I did my undergrad in VP at Oberlin and I am currently pursuing my MM in Voice at CCM.</p>

<p>My son is pursuing a double degree in Music Composition & Classics at Bard College Conservatory.</p>

<p>I am pursuing a BM in vocal performance at Rice University</p>

<p>BassDad has led an effort for the past few years of compiling a master list of both acceptances and final decisions (at least one of those threads is stickied at the top of the music major page). Both are very helpful for tracking all sorts of audition and application information!</p>

<p>D3 is a viola performance major at Hartt.
D2 plays viola at Bard College, although she is not a music major.
S earned a degree in Audio Arts & Acoustics (Live Sound) from Columbia College Chicago.</p>

<p>All are used to answering CC questions about their schools from me!</p>

<p>Son completed a BM in cello performance at Eastman in 2006 and a MM in cello performance at Mannes in 2009.</p>

<p>DD completed BM VP at Rice this past spring '11.</p>

<p>Son graduated with a BM in violin performance from UNT. He is currently applying to grad school and hoping to get a master’s in orchestral conducting and possibly a MM in violin performance as well.</p>

<p>I graduated (many years ago) with a BA in music (piano performance) from Humboldt State University in northern California. Although the program has changed over the years, I’d be happy to answer any questions about HSU. I am also very familiar with the music dept. at Southern Oregon University.</p>

<p>D is a vocalist studying contemporary writing and production at Berklee. (She transferred from Boston U once she figured out she was a musician and not a pre-med student … and yes, transfer students do get scholarship $'s.)</p>

<p>S is sophomore at Yale University, double major in music and computer science. I hold D.M.A. from University of CO-Boulder.</p>
