<p>i know in california, the average honors kid goes to a mid-tier UC like UC Davis or UC Irvine. </p>
<p>where to the average honors kids from your school go for college? what are some typical/popular choices, if any?</p>
<p>I live in Pennsylvania and most of the average honors kids in my school apply to the Ivies hoping to get in. If not most attend schools on the lines of Boston College, Boston University, or Penn State Schreyers Honoros College.</p>

<p>At my school, in terms of state schools, they’d go to SUNY Binghamton, Geneseo and Buffalo. Other schools include BU, Ithaca, SU, U of Rochester and RIT.</p>
<p>in texas, they go to trinity or some honors programs at UT or texas a&m. possibly vanderbilt and emory</p>
<p>Here in the midwest they go schools like UIUC, Michigan, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Cornell, Brown.</p>

but UT honors? emory? i would say that the smartest go there… what is average honors? would it be a high B honors? how good to grades have to be to go into emory etc?</p>

<p>im at a school in cali… almost all of our honors kids go to stanford, an ivy, georgetown, duke, vanderbilt, wash. u st. louis or UVA.</p>

<p>here in minnesota, a LOT of kids go to madison. macalester is popular too.</p>

bottom: Auburn, Clemson, Georgia State, Kennesaw State, South Carolina, GCSU</p>

<p>From Atlanta, GA- a few kids leave to go to Iveys or Berkeley or MIT, but other top honors kids go to Emory, UVa, Vanderbilt or GA Tech, if distance or money is an issue (GA has the HOPE scholarship that makes staying in-state very attractive). ‘Average’ honors kids go to GA Tech, UGA, Furman or Tulane. Tulane is a maybe now that they did away with the engineering school. Until recently, the merit scholarships made it very attractive for Southern students.</p>
