Where do Canadians fall into?

<p>I read from the Columbia web site that Canadians and Mexicans will be part of need-blind admission for undergraduate admission just like Americans.</p>

<p>Does that mean Canadians will be part of American pool or will they still be part of competitve international pool?</p>

<p>I asked the admission officer at the Columbia University but did not get a response yet.</p>

<p>I believe that you’re considered an international student but they still give you financial aid as if you were a US citizen.</p>
