I’m currently a Freshman at Notre Dame and I have a pretty strong interest in working in China later on. I recently contacted an alumni in Hong Kong to see if I could get any internships and he said that since I don’t have an HK ID card or the permission to work there, I have to go through a large investment bank or global MNC in order to find an internship. My question is if that’s the case where do I search? I’ve been googling sites, but you have to pay if you want to intern abroad? Is that really the only way? Also, isn’t it that you have to be in the country already working to get an ID card? Thanks for any help. I appreciate it.
