Where can we accept being on the waitlist online?

hey anyone?

there’s a link when you sign in

One of the rumors about Wash U is that they require you to commit if you accept a spot on the waitlist, sort of like an early decision app. You guys would know: true or false?

Uh, false. That would be ridiculous.

Absolutely false - accepting a spot on wait list just tells WashU that you are interested. You don’t have to make a choice or commit till after they make an offer. At that time they give you a specified time to make a decision to either attend or pass.

you have 48 hours once they call you to let them know. you can request to see finaid within the 48 hours though.

Good to hear and as expected. I recall a post a long time ago where someone asserted that Wash U managed its acceptance rate by admitting too few waitlisting a lot, then then requiring them to sign a commitment in order to be on the list. And you are right, that is ridiculous.
