Where do you put Publication on Stanford Application?

As almost all Graduate Program at Stanford uses the same application, I believe some of you would have encountered this same problem.

I am applying to CS graduate program at Stanford, but I don’t see any where I can put my CV or list my publications. There is a place to put “Honors, Fellowships, Non-Academic Distinctions and Publications” but there is a Character max of 280. How can I possibly put all my publications in with 280 Characters?

There is another place where I can upload “Additional Information” but they are allowing me to upload only one page and it says “Please use this section to provide additional information that was not covered by the questions in the application”, since publication was asked in the 280 characters question already, I am not sure whether I can send it here or not. Any one knows what I can do?

“Non-academic” is modifying “publications” as well.

Details on academic publications would go on a CV, which can go in “Additional Information.”

Got it Thanks! Another question, I believe most of the people have CV which is more than one page, will they care if my CV goes over 1 page even though they specify that “Additional Information” should be one page?

I assume they will care when their specifications are not met.

Yeah, I condensed my CV into one page and put it in the additional info (like played with the margins and got rid of some less necessary things like outrearch/teaching experience). I didn’t want to risk uploading 2 pages even though it does technically let you do that.

I do not think it really matters…there is no way your CV is going to fit in one page if you have 3 or more publications. It is an additional information so have a two page CV should not be a problem.

In principle I agree, but I think if it says explicitly one page, you don’t want to look like you can’t follow simple directions. Some places (Cornell Weill) don’t have a place for a CV anyway (as far as I can remember).
