<p>I’ll be a junior in September.</p>

<p>• GPA: 3.76W
• Rank: N/A
• Roster:
o No honors classes freshman year.
o Soph: Only Honors Spanish and I took Alg 2 and Geometry concurrently
o Next Year: AP Physics, AP US History, Honors Spanish & Pre-Calc
o I plan on really buckling down and raising that GPA with the help of the AP/Honors weight.
• SAT I: (Projected, based on prep class)
o CR: 770-800
o M: 600-660 (working on that)
o W: 770-800
o The only part that gives me some hope
• SATII: took Chem and bombed
• PSAT:195 soph year, before SAT prep so probably ~215ish now
• EC’s
o School Newspaper, published several times but no officer post since I was kicked off for half a year. Long story there.
o I founded a UNICEF club last year, refocusing it this year towards International Development.
o Environmental Club
o African American Student Union
• Non-School
o Volunteered @ local AIDS charity
o Volunteered at local tutoring program
o Volunteering at local Free clinic
o I’ve worked avg. 12 hours a week during the school year, and up 30 hrs a week in the summer.
• Other: I’m Nigerian (Black), so idk if that helps much. I come from a single parent home, my mom is just finishing her college degree. We’re basically broke. Like, our income was $0 last year, and maybe $10,000 the year before. Um, freshman year my divorced parents got back together, and it had to be the worst year of my life. My dad was controlling, erratic, and I was under constant fear. I have a special needs brother that we spend a lot of time and money on. I was suspended from school freshman year for a minor offense. It’s a long story, but everyone who hears it is outraged. Ask and I’ll tell.
• I am really passionate about poverty, public health, war, and development economics. It’s all personal for me. My parents grew up during the Nigerian Civil War (Biafran War). My father was a rebel soldier and was shot, due to bad healthcare his hand was paralyzed. My mother was basically kept alive by UNICEF food and attended a UNICEF school but four of her siblings died. I have an aunt who suffered brain damage because of “traditional medicine” in Nigeria. I could go on.

<p>I forgot, I attend a very competitive urban magnet school. Nationally recognized and blah blah blah. The top 20 generally come down to thousandths GPA wise.</p>
