I just sent UCSB Admissions a message, but I’m sure they are relatively busy right now. If anyone could answer my questions, I’d appreciate the help
Dear UC Santa Barbara Admissions,
I, John Doe (12345678), was admitted to UCSB on March 16th as a transfer student majoring in Sociology. I am contacting Admissions with regards to a class I decided not to take, and whether or not it will change my admission decision status. I believe UCSB requires a college-level U.S. history or government course for IGETC certification. I was planning on taking a college-level U.S. history course (HIST 8) Spring 2015, but an internship opportunity I could not reject was offered to me. That being said, I will not fulfilling one course requirement for IGETC by the end of Spring 2015 semester. With this situation in mind, I have several questions I would like to ask:
-
Am I able to obtain the credits for the one college-level U.S. history or government during Summer 2015, if not at UCSB?
-
Will this change my admission decision status?
-
If I have a TAG with UCSB and have followed all its guidelines, could I be accepted through TAG without IGETC?
-
Would I send my high school transcripts instead of an IGETC certification?
