Where does the average CAS Econ major go?

Average GPA. Not good enough for BB I-banking, where does he/she end up?

If you have good internship experience, you could work for a Fortune 500 company.

i'm actually considering the CAS Econ major and I realize that it isn't goign to land you a biz job like stern could but where exactly could it take you....I was planning on using it as a business counterpart to law school?

If you think like that, you're not going to get a job anywhere. You have to apply yourself. A school is not going to get a job for you, you have to go out and get it yourself. Attend recruiting events, show interest and enthusiasm, and network. That's what I did, and I had an internship offer from both a top 5 consulting firm and a BB firm.

If you want to do law, econ is excellent. It will develop your quant skills, which requires a lot of logic (as mathematics is all about process) and at the same time develop your analytical and writing skills, both very important for both law and business.

I may be very biased, but I really believe econ is the best undergrad major in CAS.
