Courseload: lots of honors; graduate with 10APs
ECs: lots of leadership, community service 500+ hours with Rotary, study abroad in France for 6 weeks
Letters of Rec: counselor gave me her highest rec of all students on her courseload, teachers were great, and additional letter from district superindendent
Essays: varied on school but I worked really hard and revised a lot!
Hooks: Hispanic, first generation

<p>did you apply to 16 schools, I think one should apply to like 4 schools they really want to go, and a couple of safety schools, so 6 should pretty much be enough …</p>

<p>^A lot depends on what schools you are applying to and how much financial aid you need</p>

<p>I wish I didn’t apply to so many! But I wasn’t really sure where I stood on level of competitiveness… So therefore I applied from many ranges between state schools to top tier universities.</p>
