No, fools, not like “what city is the cleveland clinic in?” haha
Someone I know was talking about the Cleveland Clinic the other day, so I got curious and tried to look it up in USNWR… but I could not find it there. Am I just skimming right over it or is it listed under a different name? Thanks!

It’s not a medical school, otherwise it would be the Cleveland School of Medicine. It’s a hospital, and it should be very prominent in the USN’s hospital rankings.

They’re affiliated with Case Western School of Medicine.

http://cerebrum.cwru.edu/newsrelease/CollegeProgram.htm

wOot go Case Western.

sorry, i’m done.

Cleveland Clinic’s Lerner program seems to act as a branch of Case’s school of medicine; they don’t have an independent application (at least they didn’t when I applied) or an MSAR entry.

So…

Cleveland Clinic : Case Western :: Geffen : UCLA ?

(sorry, couldn’t pass up the opportunity to revive the wonderful world of analogies)

If anything it’s the other way around. And the analogy’s imprecise because UCLA’s actually a university, where CC is a hospital.

The analogy would probably be:

Case:CC :: Harvard:MGH.

Actually the CCLM program is a 5 year research based program (MD/MS). Yes its through Case, yes the students have access to Case and Cleveland Clinic resources, but classes are at the Cleveland Clinic, rotations are at both hospitals. Its a new school, hasn’t graduated their first class yet. Takes 32 students a year, very good program from what I’ve seen.

I suggest you lurk over on SDN (student doctor network) studentdoctor.net there is a poster CCLMer (<a href=“CCLCMer | Student Doctor Network”>CCLCMer | Student Doctor Network) who attends CCLM and has a blog about it - http://cclcmstudent.blogspot.com/ The poster can answer any of your questions about the school. Look through some of their posts and maybe you can get your questions answered.
