Where is your favorite place to study in campus?

Any little-known places you are aware of? I like empty classrooms.

I like to study in the SLC on the PC side

the dude…coz it never closes lol

Back in the day (1971-1975) there was a Philosophy Library in Angell Hall that no one knew about and it was rarely used. Great place to study.

The stacks in the sub-basement of the graduate library was also a good place to study. There was rarely anyone down there.

UPDATE - Just checked - it’s still there. Tanner Philosophy Library - 1171 Angell Hall.

Nobody ever uses the lounges in my building so I just use those or wherever looks good at the Union. When I start to get a little more stressed and can’t handle that kind of noise I’ll probably go to the law library, my understanding is that undergrads are also welcome there and it’s very quiet. And looks like Hogwarts. :)

What is “SLC”? Is “the dude” the North Campus library?

I am the dude

slc is the science learning center and dude is the duderstadt

i like the fishbowl. i usually need some noise and the chairs are comfortable

yeah fishbowl is good too.

I study at Hatcher, and sometimes the UGLI. I should study at the Duderstat Library, but I don’t know where it is.

I can’t remember anything more specific than it being on North Campus and thinking it was cool.

this is why the dude is awesome… I have been here since 4pm yesterday…and it’s 6am now… dont even have to relocate because of closing or anything

dude is good, but there’s nothing to eat. is panda express still there? i wish mcdonalds stayed, so much better.

the best place if you really want quiet and solitude is Angel Hall, any of the untaken classrooms is fine.

panda express is still there.

i study in my own room(roommate usually not present, or loud),and sometimes a group study/hw at my lounge… too lazy to go anywhere else

Usually in my room, but I like going to Beanster’s in the League sometimes.

I am a high school student in Ann Arbor, but I have lived here about 15 years longer than most college students. I would recommend the Taubman medical research library. It is dead silent, and there is all sorts of nooks and crannies to study in.

I really liked studying in the mostly sound-proof music practice rooms in East Quad’s basement. Nobody was ever actually down there. I kept going back even after I moved to Newberry. Sort of like the little rooms in hatcher, only actually available during finals.

It’s crazy how fast you forget things… I graduated just this past spring and I’m already struggling to think of where my other spots were… Feels like a billion years ago already.

I also study in the music rooms at night.

the dorm loo perhaps? :D
