Thanks!
Preferably schools with EA…

Well you have a good profile, but it’s not as much where you CAN get in as much as where you would WANT to get in.

I’d want to get in the top schools (ivies, etc). But I know those are reaches and you never know what will happen…so I was wondering which universities do I have a high chance of getting in AND can get aid…(matches?)

You won’t get into Ivy’s unless you get 2250+ SATs, so I would aim lower.

What is your overall uw GPA?

@Analgin, that is not necessarily true.

I still have time to study for the SAT so I am hoping for a better score…My marks has been going up since gr9 (87) to gr 11 (94)…It is because in grade 9 I was still struggling with learning English so that explains the trend…

highachiever793- you’re right if there were some hooks. With OP being international and no hooks, I can only see him getting in with high scores.

There are many universities you can try to get into that would give you signigicant aid (merit scholarships). What is your intended major?

I’m intending on studying business or economics if there is no business program. I thought merit scholarships are only rewarded to Americans?

bump 10 char

SAT scores of international students from my school who’ve gotten into Ivy League schools (courtesy of Naviance):

Brown: 1940, 2140, 2150

Columbia: 2120, 2220

Cornell: 2150, 2140

Dartmouth: 1940, 2250, 2270, 2270

Princeton: 2140, 2290

UPenn: 1940, 2210, 2250

Yale: 2100, 2250

So much for this theory…

Wow^ That’s a lot of people!
No Harvard? lol

We haven’t had a person accepted to Harvard since the early noughties, and we only started using Naviance a couple of years ago. But yeah, it’s a grievance…

If you’re interested in econ and business I would reccomend Emory for you. It is very strong in both departments

Thanks! MattLeinartFan, does Emory meet 100% need?

bumppppppppppppp

^What about for canadian permanent res? I heard Upenn is need-blind for Canadian PRs. By the way, schools with no/little greek life would be preferred…

If you’re looking for a good business degree / foundation for going to business school, you should check out UC Berkeley’s business school (Haas). In terms of its ranking, it’s right up there with Wharton and Sloan.

Yes to UPenn and Canadian applicants.

^ UCB will not offer FA to a Canadian applicant.

Will applying ED or EA help with need-aware schools?
