Where should i apply?

i’m am currently living in North Carolina and would like to know what schools i should apply for as a good match for me, i’m hoping to major in some type of engineering

white male, neither parent went to college, low-income public school

GPA: UW: 3.88
SAT: M-660,CR-630,W-510
Rank: 11/539
Junoir Year: AP Calc AB-C, AP US Hist-A, AP Chem-B, AP Eng Lang-A
Plan for Senoir: AP Physics, AP Eng Lit, AP Psych, AP Stats

3 years varsity football-state champs 3 years

UNC looks like it would be a good match, they’re ignoring the writing section as far as I’ve heard. NC State would be a good one to apply to as well.

Clemson or Virginia Tech if you can get an instate tuition scholarship. I know a lot of public schools in the south do that.

what do you think are some safety schools

UNC-Charlotte?

I know they have some decent engineering programs there.

An admissions officer at Chapel Hill said that they only use the writing section for placement in English classes so since you have a lower writing score you should consider applying there.

any other input
