What are the best schools you think I could get into?

Weighted GPA- 100.25% Class Rank- 11/335

SAT- 1140 (Math and CR) 1730 (total)

ECs and Community Service- Baseball (will be all 4 years), Basketball (4 years), American Legion Baseball (2 years), Altar Server at Church (8 years), National Honors Society.

Thanks.

Great grades and rank but poor standardized scores. Try an SAT optional school (google).

Retake that SAT and aim for at least a 1200 in Math+CR.

you need a 1200 if you want a chance at being recruited for top schools…but you never told us if you are planning on being an athlete. Your ranking is great, but with nothing else but those SATs you won’t be in very good shape.

your state flagship school, schools like wake forest that dont require SATs.

would help to tell us where you are and what you want. try to get that SAT score up, you might see urself being held back alot from it

What is the breakdown of the SAT score? If lower in reading, start doing a lot more at home. Begin a new habit of reading before bedtime, for at least 2 hours. That way when you have to study those college textbooks, your reading comprehension won’t slow you down.

If math is the problem, so is mine. I did math problems for 2-3 hours daily for 2-3 months before I went to take the Praxis (an SAT for teachers). It turned out that I scored higher on the math section (by a few points) than the rest of the sections.

Also, apply to your state university as a safety (if it is), or any other place you wouldn’t mind attending that you know you can get in. Hurry up and study and pull up that SAT, then when you come back on here for further advice, say what career you want (ok to guess) and what kind of college environment you want (if you are picky that way). Give more details about the kind of college you want so that these experienced folks can suggest appropriate places for you to investigate.

Retake the SAT after lots of studying (a couple of months at least of 2-3 hrs of work on your weak area). Your GPA proves you are a hard worker, which is what colleges are definitely looking for.
