Where should I attend?

I recently was accepted to the Rutgers Pharmacy program, and I was wondering if I should just enroll or if I should wait for my other top choice, Carnegie Mellon.

My stats are:
3.9 weighted GPA

750 Math
660 Reading
720 Writing

690 Chemistry
740 Math Level 2

Lots of extracurriculars.

Do you guys think I have a chance of getting accepted into CMU’s engineering program?

My question: Why wouldn’t you just wait?

I would also just wait. You have until May 1 to give your final answer.

The real factor is the money. Since I would get an in-state tuition for Rutgers, it would be much lighter financially. I don’t know if I would be willing to put with with loads of debt at Carnegie Mellon, granted I get accepted.

Carnegie Mellon is a school worth waiting for. Do yourself a favor and take some time to consider your options and make a decision when things are more certain. What do you have to lose?

Once you graduate from either one and pass the NAPLEX, you are a pharmacist. I don’t know how much Carnegie Mellon will help you in getting a job over Rutgers? If you plan on working in this area, I would definitely choose Rutgers. (I went to Rutgers Pharmacy but I graduated in the 80s.)

Carnegie Mellon is $$$. If you won’t be getting non-loan financial aid, I would choose Rutgers. Still, you have until May 1 to decide.
