where should I be targeting?

Back story…I just wrapped up my 2nd year and am transferring from a state school in my home state of SC to Stanford for my upcoming 3rd/jr. year. I am currently wrapping up Orgo this summer at my state school in SC. After Orgo I will have completed the physics/chem/orgo/bio/calc sequence and with A’s this summer will wrap up a 4.0 cumulative before moving west. I intend be a humbio major upon matriculating…

My goal entering undergrad was to attend MUSC however in transferring to Stanford will my opportunities/appeal to adcoms expand drastically as an applicant from Stanford vs. an avg state school? I had modest expectations, however with this move I am seeking advice on expanding my options.

I am a URM, military reservist, have taken 4 practice MCAT’s without strong orgo knowledge, and have been scoring between 33-35 on them. I intend to test at the end of the summer/early fall. I have 1 publication and work in another lab that is promising, all the requisite clinical (125+ hrs) and volunteering (80+ hrs).

I’m not sure how having taken my requirements from my state school will be viewed relative to my new status as a Stanford student.

Looking to expand my list from MUSC & South Carolina but not really sure what type of expectations I should have

There is no problem getting accepted to the top Med. Schools from the state public. I do not know anything Stanford-related. D’s (state public graduate) Med. School class has a very good number from CA and particularly from Berkeley. I bet her class also have Stanford graduates as well various Ivy league.
You are doing really well. Best at Stanford and beyond!
