Where should I go?

Hi. I have been accepted to a few schools, but I am having a tough time deciding where to go.

At this point, I have it down to three choices (hopefully you have heard of all of them):

 • Baylor University Honor’s Program
 • Hillsdale College
 • UMASS-Amherst

Here are some factors influencing my decision:

 • I am interested in majoring in Economics, so I would like to go to a school with a good econ. dept.
 • I would like to go to the school with the best academic reputation (obviously).
 • I would preferably like to go to school in the south, but am willing to stay in the North.
 • My EFC is low so money is a factor (Umass would be cheapest, Baylor the most expensive).
 • I am possibly considering transferring after a year or two, since there is another school I am really interested in but didn’t apply. (unless I love wherever I go).

Any suggestions? Thanks.

UMass then. You can take classes at Amherst, Mt Holyoke, Smith and Hampshire (though often few students take advantage of the consortium). Do well at UMass b/c transferring to most schools is harder than getting in as a frosh.
