Currently, I am in sophomore standing at Quinnipiac University. After HS, I took a semester and worked on a campaign, and then took a semester at CC for Spring 2008 and got a 3.69 with 3 A’s and a B in calculus, and then got a 3.666 at Quinnipiac the next semester. I’m taking this semester off to figure things out and possibly an internship, but will return in the summer and fall and expect similar grades. I got a 2010 on my SATs (710 V 620 M 680 W), and a 3.32 in HS unweighted, only because of **** poor senior year grades. I want a school with better academics, and more fraternities, as I have had trouble making friends at QU because I not only think the students there aren’t for me socially and academically with respect to my level of intellect and awareness, but because of the lack of activities too. More fraternities would also give me an easier time because I’d have an instant circle with which to surround myself, as not having many friends around campus doesn’t project an image of success, which is necessary to be successful. I’m not terribly shallow, but I’m really up the creek socially. Academically, I don’t feel too challenged, and the language department is lacking, something I am very interested in. What colleges should I look to transfer to? I mean anything is better than community college, but where can I go that I will also find kids on par with my intellectually? I don’t want a small liberal arts college where gossip is their lifestyle. Also, a smarter school may have fewer shallow kids, as I am a short guy, and I would not doubt it doesn’t help me, as it wouldn’t anywhere, but at a school where people may not see themselves as smart, it may only motivate them to make friends with “hot” people, and I’m not ugly, but really REALLY short, 5’1’’ in reality, 5’3’’ as what I tell people.

sorry if this is not the proper place, but it sort of sounds like more than anything you are looking for a school and a social scene where you will feel more accepted with your height. if this is the case, and no need to answer this question for us here on the boards, then i don’t know if one school is going to be better for you than another…it sounds like you may be allowing your height to be effecting your social life as well, if this is something which is causing you great stress, which it shouldnt be because its not that big of a deal imo, then make sure you are getting the proper help needed

it looks like QU isn’t exactly a push over for you, but some schools that may fit your criteria to look into might be U mich (probably a reach), u conn, fordham, bucknell, f & m, ohio state
