We did most of our kitchen/bath remodeling ourselves - only had a contractor for the tile work and cabinets/counter. But since our contractor also did plumbing work on his other jobs, when we picked out the Moen faucets we wanted from HD, he had connections to get us the brass/ceramic inside guts for that model, instead of the plastic crap - for his cost. And since HD had clearanced the faucet we wanted, despite paying for the extra better parts, we still came in under budget
