im coming to downtown LA tommorrow and i was wondering if any of you guys know about where to go to find knock-offs for cheap ( i.e. louis vuitton, coach). where are those markets that sell these kind of things. Thanks a lot.

Chinatown.

go to hong kong… or the usc thread haha.

The USC thread? HAHAHA, that cracked me up :)

where is santee alley? how far is it to UCLA?

Yeah… you can find all those things in Chinatown. Try the Lido center, or was it Dynasty… hmm. It’s fun to haggle/bargain. Pretend like you’re not really interested.

fashion district?

Lol fake designer knock-offs? Does that mean that they aren’t knock-offs because they’re fake knock-offs meaning they’re real…I’m confused now.

definitely fashion district…

When I went to ucla during my spring break (april) there were two stands outside of the dining place where you can get subs, Chinese food, etc (its like a little hut) that had a TON of purses outside. Hopefully its still there!

LuValle Commons?

U mean fake brand name designer clothes and accesories?

Lee Tae Won or Dong Dae Moon SHopping Districts

You can dress & walk like a million with only 300$ spent on ur cothes

where is the fashion district?

it’s on Western Ave near K-town

go to downtown. You can get anything over there for cheap. And dont be afraid. Its funny how sheltered suburbanites think downtown LA is full of thugs and gangsters. Its totally cool during the day and full of life.

yeah that sound about right, my first trip to UCLA was by bus and i walked around the downtown for a while trying to find the local bus, specifically on wilshire blvd, it wasn’t that, i didn’t get robbed or anythign.

the downtown la you guys are talking about is really different from the downtown la that everyone talks about. yes there is a really pretty side of downtown la where all the cooperate buildings are, but visit the part where skid row is, and even further down where the usc campus is… visit that… and get mugged! haha.

go to los “callejones” aka the alleys of downtown there you can find anything from turtles as pets to dvd copies of recently released movies that are really good quality Im sure you’ll find what you’re looking for and recently its gotten a lot better with the mayor’s plan to clean up downtown its still in close proximity to the homeless shelter and the police station so be careful. But if your’e coming from the 10 west then exit on 3rd sreet or 6th and turn either way on Maple st. you can find metered parking or park in a structure for $5.
