I’m a transfer student from Jacksonville and was wondering where to check in at for the move in day of August the 22nd. I know I’m assigned to the Cypress apartments. Around what time to get there in order to avoid the rush of students that are coming in?

Check-in at the Marshall Student Center to pick up your keys beginning at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday Aug. 22. They’ll have adequate staff to help everyone…show up at your convenience. Be there!

Hey, lizard, I was wondering if we should show up half an hour before the posted time, say around 9:30 am? I’m from pretty far and I’m not sure if traffic will be bad and if there will be a massive rush of people around 10 am.

Get there whatever time is convenient for you–just try to get there before 3:30 p.m. or you’ll have to wait until they re-open at 6. It’s not going to be a brawl signing in, if you get there when they start check-in at 10 it might be a little crowded–just chill and relax and they’ll get to you. There is plenty of convenient parking by the dorms and there won’t be any traffic problems, so don’t get all frothed up worrying about stuff–it will be a fun day for you. If you get there a little early that’s fine, you can relax in AIR-CONDITIONED Marshall Center until check-in starts. Go Bulls!

Thank you Lizard. I thought I had to be there at 8 am.

If you get to the Marshall Center early, visit the Computer Store located in the Marshall Center and buy a copy of Microsoft Office Suite 2010 on dvd for under $16. If you don’t already have the software on your computer, you should get the software at this special price for USF students for your coursework while a student at USF.
