Where to go at Yale at 5 AM?

My son is taking the train to Bulldog Days, and he will arrive in New Haven at 5 AM tomorrow.
Any recommendations on where he could go at Yale at such an early hour?

There is a Dunkin Donuts at the station if he wants to grab something there. Otherwise, he can head to the Starbucks at 1070 Chapel St - they open at 6am - this street follows the edge of the Green and borders Old Campus to the SW. The shuttle to Phillips Gate puts him just around the corner from Chapel at the edge of Old Campus. If he has time to kill, best place to hang would be a bench at Old Campus.

I am sure that there will be some people buzzing about. The ones I know that are hosting are just as excited as the incoming prefrosh. I am certain he wont be alone for long.

That’s Phelps gate–the gate at the Old Campus.

The train station is a reasonably pleasant place to hang out until other establishments open. And if the weather’s nice, Old Campus is fine too. And yes, it’s Phelps Gate not Phillips Gate.

Thanks to all. He “ubered” to Starbucks and soon found other pre-frosh and then his host.
