Where to go?

I’m currently a junior in high school. I’ve begun to take some college courses. I’m an all A’s student, but I did somewhat poorly on my ACT. My overall was 26, but a 31 in Math, but I’m planning on re-taking it at least 2 more times. I passed Math 151 with a C+ (abysmal, yes) and this year I will be taking Math 152 (maybe 153 as well), Bio 113, 114, and 299. I am looking for recommendations of colleges. I want to major in something along the lines of Biology or Biochemistry or Biomedical Science, and I want to minor in Photography. So far, my favorite college that I’ve looked at by far is the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I want a college that has a good School of Medicine and somewhere scenic for nice photography. Any recommendations?

Colorado, Michigan State, Washington and Oregon might be worth a look. Best of luck!

Don’t worry about the undergrad school having a good med school. Any good college can prepare you for med school. Since med school is very expensive, it’s better to reduce your costs for undergrad so that you can afford med school.

UNC-CH med school accepts med students from all over.

Are you an instate student for UNC-CH? If not, it’s very hard for an OOS student to get accepted.

What is your home state?

How much will your parents pay for college?

Like mom2collegekids said, don’t worry about med school yet.
Actually, it is generally a better idea to get an advanced degree from somewhere other than where you went for undergrad in the first place.

where else have you looked?
