Where to send letters from parent's employers?

I don’t quite understand, should I send them to College Board or to each college directly? I’m an international student BTW.

What is the purpose of sending employer letters as an employer cannot 100% guarantee that your parent(s) will remain employed. They can tell how much your parents make as a salary but cannot attest to how much money your parents have on hand.

As an international student, you will have to send bank statements, etc.demonstrating that you will have funds on hand (either $ in the bank, guaranteed loans, or funding from your country) to pay for college.

Sorry if I wasn’t clear, I meant for my Financial aid application.

Again, an employer letter is not going to help your cause in the financial aid process. Why do you want to send an employer letter. It can only attest to the fact that your parent(s) are currently employed. Unless your parent(s) are working under an employment contract, the letter cannot guarantee future employment or what your parents do with their money…

You need to contact the international admissions officer at each of the colleges and universities that you are applying to, and ask them what kind of documentation is needed for your financial aid application, and who to send it to. It is possible that each of them will have a different procedure and a different list of documents.

sybbie719, I’m sending employer’s letters because colleges require them.

Ohhhhh…(ten characters)

I have the same question, somewhat. Can the documents be uploaded online somewhere, and attached to the css profile, or do I mail them to each institution by snail mail? And OP, you mail them to the financial aid office, every college has one listed in the contact us tab

alisyn, I decided to ask each college directly, some want documents to be sent via CSS, others by snail mail, email or fax.

I see! Is this information available anywhere? Like the names of colleges that want them via css and those that want them the ye old traditional way? If not, I’ll email the FA offices at the colleges I’m applying to

I wish there was such information somewhere, but there is not. (as far as I know)
