For most schools there isn’t a “pre-med” major per se. Most schools have pre-med counseling programs and may go so far as to have organizations that help guide undergrads towards successful admittance to medical school. “Affordable” is subjective so I will simply recommend TCU as they have a very active and successful pre-med advising and networking combination that has helped many students gain acceptance to medical school on graduation. My son is in medical school after attending TCU and most of his classmates are from other TX schools so seems like most all of them have some pre-med organization. Research each school and you can typically find medical school admittance information.
