Where to transfer to?

I’m a 3rd year student at schulich school of business thinking of transferring to another business school, but I can’t seem to find anywhere that is suitable.

I have looked at some ivey league salary statistics and to be honest I am not really all that impressed that people at tier 1 schools are paying 8-9 times my tuition and often coming up with equal or lower paying jobs on average.

Even when I looked down the list of other good business schools who rank better than schulich I found that their salaries were almost on average lower even for the same industries and functions, even with similar recruiters (aka consulting). So I don’t know, maybe there is some interpretation I am missing, even after currency exchange it is not enough to explain why better schools grads are being paid less. for example, when you look at the finance salary in investment banking or trading for schulich its up there in 150k, but i can’t find no other school that has even similar stats for top of the class undergrads.

I don’t really like my program to be honest and can’t really stand another year in it, I probably should have transferred out years ago but I am the kind of person who tries to get the job done.

My gpa is a 3.1-2ish, which is slightly above the bell curved average they make at our school who uses a ■■■■■■■■ 9.0 scale (■■■■■■■■ because no one gets 9, there is no b, just b+ or b- which means that if you get 89% in all your course but 1, your average is the exact same as someone who got 76% in all their courses.

O yeah and the other thing is no sat for me as I am living in a country that does not offer the sat = student exchange.

So I need to find some kind of undergrad business school that takes transfers with no sat scores, preferable with a salary range average similar to my school or better (hey if i am going to be paying high usa intl tuition i might as well try to get back my money right?)

If you’re already a junior, you will have almost an impossible time finding a good school to transfer to. Most only accept transfers after the 1st or 2nd year.

It can be difficult to find a school to transfer to being a junior, but they do exist,

I was thinking that you might want to consider changing to another major at a new school if you can’t find a good way to transfer in. If you’ve taken a lot of economics, I think it’s an awesome major and you could have a much easier time finding a school that’d take you in for it.

Ya I am basically a business aka economics major. By the end of this year I will basically have a marketing and intl business major. Not that I really want to go into either of the 2, it just kinda ended up happening, long story.

So you mean to start a new major all over again at a new school? I don’t really want to do 7 years just to get a 4year degree.

At the 3rd year perhaps you should just finish it up and go to grad school somewhere you’d like. Transferring into a new business school at that point might be annoying.

Economics is a bit different than business (at least at most school I know), so yeah perhaps you’d have to go one extra year (5 years total) if you haven’t taken any, but it really depends on how badly you want to leave

Ya I’d realise that I would have to do an extra year but a 3.1-3.2 is not really all that great for going straight to grad school.

I have no desire to continue in my school, i’d rather drop out than go back.
