<p>Hello. I’m currently a freshman at a small 4 year University. I’m currently a psychology major, but thinking of switching to biology or pre-med. I was thinking of being a neuropsychologist, but have decided to work to become a neurologist instead.
After this year I’m going to transfer to a different university, but I’m not sure where yet.
I’m hoping to stay in Texas until I finish my first four years.
What would be the best Texas schools to consider?
Should I make sure to go somewhere with a nice neurology program, or should I just go to a college with good programs within the sciences?

<p>Premed just means taking the coursework that you need for taking the MCAT and applying for med school, you can major in anything and be premed.</p>
<p>Since your questions are more about the schools than transferring per se, you might want to try posting on other forums, for example: College Search & Selection (or TX Schools, a subforum of State forums), Science Majors forum or Premed Topics forum.</p>
<p>If you’re doing anything science or medicine related, and you want to stay in Texas, I’d say Rice or Baylor would be your best bets.</p>
