UMASS Amherst (MA)

Assumption College (MA)

Framingham State (MA)

Northeastern University (MA

James Madison Universtiy (VA)

Eckerd College (FL)

Bently College (MA)

i’m sorry, i dont know much about the schools…but i do know that eagle scout looks GREAT

Im sorry but I wouldn’t call an 1860 good SATs compared with others on this site. They are, however, sufficient or even good for the schools you are looking at. Do you have any valid excuses for your pathetic GPA? Some colleges can look past that if they sense potential.

umm, freshman year my parents made me go to a private all boys school which i dident want to go to so i refused to do any work until i got to leave

after that, my grades slowly improved

any opinions?

unfortunately, i think northeastern and bentley are too far out of your reach with your gpa. i dont know enough about the others.
what are you interested in studying? there are lots of good schools that would be in your range.

forgot to mention i had an interview at bently, eckerd, and assumption

my reccomendations are from my boyscout leader who is a lawyer and a teacher

you’ll be fine for jmu

you really think ill get into jmu? im from out of state (from MA)

I’d go nuts if I go in, its by far my top choice.

Im pretty confident in framingham state which is my saftey school and also assumption and probably umass amherst

i really really really wana go to jmu though

yes, the sat scores are not grand, andrw313, but i think it’s ridiculous that you would call his gpa pathetic. it’s not like he’s trying to get into harvard.

waitlisted or rejected from JMU

lol my gpa is pretty bad, but ive been showing upward progression. my grades were horrible freshman and sophmore but have slowly been getting better. i i performed at the same level i am now senior year id have a about a 3 or better but thanks for sticking up for me somebody else

anyone else have opinions?

If you really like JMU you might want to look into Hampden-Sydney. One of my friends in my Scout troop got into HS with pretty mediocre grades mostly because he was an Eagle Scout. There was a handwritten note at the bottom of the acceptance saying how much this mattered to them.

well you’re SAT’s are decent and most of the schools you are applying to are sub par, so I’d say you get admitted to all of them except JMU and NE.

UMASS is probably one of the worst schools in the US, btw. I’ve heard absolutely horrible stories about the campus, academics, the obnoxious students, etc. Don’t go there.

mad pompous a**holes on here eh?

You spelled Bentley wrong btw. it’s BentlEy… like the car

bentlEy is suppolsed to be harder to get in than NE or JMU

so what do you all think of of where ill get in, denied, or waitlisted

i think that you should go to community college

I don’t think that community college is his only option. 1860 is a decent score and you might have a chance at JMU. I know some seniors with lower stats who are applting too. But they’re in-stste so…

I heard UMass Amherst suffered from recent budget constraints but it is not one of the worst schools by any means. We visited this summer–library, cafeteria, students made a good impression–met some friendly professors–extra opportunities through free bus service to 5-college exchange :Amherst, Smith, Mount Holyoke, Hampshire.

yeah umass isnt bad at all
