Where would I place?

Where do you think I would place, in terms of the applicant pool, from a purely objective point-of-view (without considering ECs)? I applied to AEM.

SAT: 1540/1600; 2280/2400 (740CR+W, 800M)
SAT II: 800 Math II; 740 Physics (very disappointing but I didn’t think they would change from a rejection to acceptance if I got 800 instead)
GPA: School doesn’t calculate/send
Rank: School doesn’t calculate/send
IB predicted grade: 43/45 (on senior year transcript) bumped up to 44/45 on the mid-year report
IGCSEs: 5A+, 4A, 2B (Physical Education and German)
Financial Aid: No
Location: International from Hong Kong

Our school follows the British system and hence we take GCSEs for freshman and junior year and the full IB diploma for junior and senior year (AP, Honors or any other American courses are not offered).

You would place very high up if not for the fact that you are an international applicant. From what I see, your stats are gleaming. You have good SAT scores for sure, but I don’t know how they compare to others from your pool. From what i hear several threads back, asian applicants tend to have very good SAT scores too, so your competition may be tougher. It also depends on how good your grades are and what ECs you do. From your stats alone, I see that you are more fit for engineering than AEM, so in your essays you need to demonstrate your fitness and you need to stand out from the generic asian stereotypes. You might also want to take another type of SAT II to stand out from the asian pool.
