I am currently a junior in a North Carolina high school. As I have conducted my college search, I have come to the realization that even if I get accepted to my top-choice colleges (Northwestern, Cornell, Columbia), I will most likely not be able to afford to attend (My EFC is relatively high, but there are extenuating circumstances that are not considered by FASFA). I have also looked at UNC-Chapel Hill as a financially-viable alternative, but would much rather go further north. With my statistics (both present and predicted future), what good colleges would I have a realistic shot of receiving considerable merit aid?</p>
