<p>Where would you go if you have TAG for all"TAGable" UCs and if Berkeley and UCLA reject you? Why?</p>

<p>UCSD is my first choice even though I applied to Cal and UCLA. I am pretty confident that I will get accepted to UCLA</p>
<p>UCSD is a guarantee for me thru TAG, but I only I applied to Berkeley, LA, and SD… hopefully I get into Berkeley, though. Regardless, I’m sure they are each nice schools. Can’t be too disappointed if I don’t make it.</p>
<p>I would/will have to face the very difficult decision of Davis vs. UCSD. I’m already driving myself crazy thinking about it.</p>
<p>assuming we’re talking strictly about UC’s…i think if I don’t get into UCLA, I’d have to flip a coin between UCSB and UCSD.</p>
<p>UCSD is where I will go (hopefully it is my “safety school”) if I don’t get accepted to LA or Berkeley. My major is Electrical Engineering, and here’s how my reasoning works:</p>
<p>The Jacobs School of Engineering is VERY highly rated, and is only ONE POSITION below UCLA’s Henry Samueli School of Engineering. This is interesting because there is a SIGNIFICANT difference between Cal and LA’s ratings for engineering. Berkeley is rated #2 (after MIT) for Engineering, while UCLA is around 12 to 15 notches below Berkeley!</p>
<p>UCSD has a very high level of research activity and is one of the most respected (and published) universities for science and engineering.</p>
<p>I would be at UCSD. I too have some friends that go there already, plus I love the UCSD campus and the surrounding city. That said, 95% sure I will be at UCLA next fall (crossing fingers)</p>
