<p>I also loved the college trips! I love visiting colleges.</p>
<p>I am glad I don’t have to plan any more bar mitzvahs. That was a lot of work!</p>
<p>I guess what I DIDN’T love about those college vists was the nagging, the arguments, the anticipated stress. I always felt my kids didn’t show enough “love” when we visited. I admit now: it really was boring to drive to all those colleges (picture this: I’m driving, they’re sleeping). It really was the same spiel we heard. But I think it made a difference.</p>
<p>No more bake sales, wrapping paper sales, popcorn sales, chocolate sales…they may have these things at college but <em>I</em> won’t have anything to do with it!</p>
