<p>Sorta new to CC, so not sure if this is the right subforum.</p>
<p>Anyway, I’m a graduating senior this year looking at HYPSM (got into one of those early, applied to the rest RD), looking into a STEM field (though I really have no clue). Already 5’d most of the science APs; will definitely take C E&M this year. Anyhow, I’m not sure about selfstudying a few tests for credit/placement: Stats, Macro/Micro, Compsci, Envirosci. The question here mostly is monetary - I’m not expecting trouble from any of these if I do decide to take, but I also am loathe to throwing out an extra 89 bucks for a test that will be absolutely useless.</p>
<p>Also, I know that there are placement tests at MIT (Advanced standing) to test out of certain subjects. Are there similar tests at the other institutions? Or how does the process work, for subjects other than the core ones?</p>
