Which awards?

I’m a student in Louisiana applying to top-tier schools and I’m wondering what kind of awards/honors would be appropriate to put down. Here’s a sampling:

State Literary Rally - Chemistry, 1st place overall winner
State Literary Rally - Physics, 1st place overall winner
LMTA State Piano Rally, 2nd place winner
Debose National Piano Competition, 1st place winner
State Junior Classical League Convention – Certamen Novice, 1st place
State Mu Alpha Theta Convention – Hustle, 1st place
Regional Science Bowl – 1st place
National Science Bowl Participant (Team Louisiana)
National Science Bowl ISD (Interactive Science Discovery) Challenge winner
National Science Olympiad - Sound of Music, 15th place

  • Fermi Questions, 17th place
National Mu Alpha Theta Convention - Number Theory, 11th place
  • Mu Division School Bowl, 7th place
  • State Bowl (Team Louisiana), 4th place
    National Merit Semifinalist
    AP Scholar with Distinction

Which of these seem the most significant? And which ones should I throw out? Should I include any of the Science Olympiad or Mu Alpha Theta awards? They are at the national level but are not in the top few. Thanks.

I would use the ones that you worked the hardest on and should you as a unique student. Maybe:

AP Scholar with Distinction
Regional Science Bowl – 1st place
Debose National Piano Competition, 1st place winner

Combined these two into one:
State Literary Rally, 1st place- Chemistry, Physics

Should I include the National Science Olympiad and National Mu Alpha Theta awards at all?

You should group them. For example under piano, list all the piano and music awards. Under science, list all the science awards. I think the Olympiad award is important.
