which bank offers highest interest rates for a savings account?

which bank offers highest interest rates for a savings account?

Citibank has a 5.0% interest rate I think, which is pretty good. I put all my money in my local town bank and the interest rate there is only like 1.2%.

If you are looking to get any ROI on your money, a savings account is by far the stupidest thing you can do. Look at some mutual funds, or even Certificates of Deposit. The days of the savings account paying any kind of decent interest rate went out when Reagan (sp?) left office.

I get 5.15% interest from EmigrantDirect… it’s an online bank that’s linked to a checking acct. at a “real” bank… might not be what you want though.

5.05% from HSBC

Ge Intrest plus acts much like a bank. They offer 5.43 percent yield if you have enough money in them. Also unlike COD’s you can write a check from them netime and have no time restrictions

why does BOA only have a .05% interest rate?

This is a wonderful opinion. The things mentioned are unanimous and needs to be appreciated by everyone.

[Fixed Rate Savings Accounts](http://www.highratesavingsaccounts.com)

If you can find 2% or better interest on a savings account in November 2010 you should work for no one, because you should be rich from the fees you made from your clients.
